As the wheel of the year turns, we find ourselves in the heart of summer. The sun is shining, the days are long, and nature is in full bloom. It’s a time of abundance and energy, but also a time when we need to take extra care of ourselves. So, let’s talk about summer self-care, Pagan style.

First off, let’s remember that self-care isn’t just about bubble baths and face masks (though those are lovely!). It’s about nurturing our whole selves – body, mind, and spirit. And as Pagans, it’s also about connecting with the natural world around us.

  1. Sunrise Meditation: Start your day by greeting the sun. This doesn’t mean you have to be up at the crack of dawn (unless you want to!). Just take a moment to step outside, feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, and breathe in the fresh morning air. It’s a simple way to connect with the energy of the sun and set a positive tone for the day.
  2. Nature Walks: Take advantage of the long summer days by spending time in nature. Go for a walk in the woods, visit a local park, or simply sit in your garden. Pay attention to the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Notice the lush greenery, the buzzing insects, the fragrant flowers. This is a form of moving meditation that can help you feel grounded and connected to the earth.
  3. Hydrate with Herbal Infusions: Staying hydrated is especially important during the hot summer months. Why not make it a magical experience by creating your own herbal infusions? You can use herbs associated with the sun, like chamomile or St. John’s Wort, or any herbs that you feel drawn to. As you sip your infusion, imagine the healing energy of the herbs nourishing your body and spirit.
  4. Rune Casting: Summer is a time of action and manifestation. If you’re feeling stuck or unsure about something in your life, why not do a Rune cast? Let the universe guide you through the wisdom of the Runes. Remember, you don’t need to overthink it. Just follow your intuition and trust the process.
  5. Celebrate the Sun with The Wicked Griffin Jewelry: One of the best ways to connect with the energy of the season is by wearing jewelry that resonates with it. Consider wearing pieces from The Wicked Griffin that embody the spirit of summer. Whether it’s a sunstone pendant, a Rune bracelet, or a piece inspired by the vibrant life of the season, let your jewelry be a daily reminder of your connection to the natural world and the magic within you.
  6. Celebrate the Sun: Finally, celebrate the sun in your own way. This could be as simple as enjoying a meal outside, reading a book in the sunshine, or creating a piece of sun-inspired art.

Remember, self-care is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. So, take some time this summer to nurture yourself and connect with the vibrant energy of the season. You deserve it!

Bavarian Folklore says that you might just cross paths with a Wolpertinger in the alpine forest.

The forest animal of all animals – a representation of all, or Urviech in German. The Wolpertinger is a rabbit with fangs, wings and antlers.

Come to my neck of the woods and you might just catch one! ❤️

He finally stepped out of the forest…

The Wolpertinger Pendant has arrived.

Inspired by old Bavarian tales of the antlered hare who moves silently through shadow and moss, this piece carries a little wild magic wherever it goes.

Strange, story-filled, and made for those who feel at home in myth and woodland twilight.

I thought I had closed the book on the Alice in Wonderland rings…

But you kept asking for more, so here they are.

Which one is your favorite??
Can this be over now, please?
In case you forgot 💜
5,445 days in, and I’m still doing the same thing.

Taking old stories and trying to give them weight.

Some days it works.
Some days it fights back.
Either way, this is the work. 🖤

Something I’ve been thinking about lately.

If there’s one thing I would’ve done differently early on, it’s this:

I would have invested in casting equipment much sooner.

When I started out in 2011, I spent years learning as many jewelry techniques as possible.

And I don’t regret that, I loved it.

It taught me patience, problem-solving, and respect for the process.

But casting was how I first learned jewelry back in a high school metals class in 1999/2000.

If I’d trusted that foundation earlier and leaned into it, it would have saved me a lot of years of circling, experimenting, and hitting the same limits over and over.

The journey was wrong, just longer than it needed to be.

Every piece I make now carries all of that with it.

The learning, the detours, the slow build.

Just something I wanted to share, artist to artist. 🖤
This year, we’re not buying things just to keep up.

If you need the reminder:

✔️ You don’t need what’s trending
✔️ You don’t need to explain your symbols
✔️ What you choose to wear can mean something

Which one of these are you carrying into 2026? 🖤
My husband is from Bavaria (southern Germany) and I originally made this Krampus pendant for him.

The Krampusnacht traditions belong to his culture, and it was so important to me to really bring this pendant alive and make it as accurate as possible.

When I added him to my shop, I couldn’t believe how many of you loved him as much as I do!

He’s super-small lost wax cast in my home studio (only 3 at a time).
