nauthiz rune meaning

From Proto Norse nauđiʀ and Old English nȳd which became “need”. The Rune “in need”.

In the old Norwegian Rune poem the term nauðr is used and talks about a man in distress, possibly poverty and in need. It’s a rune of hardship, of stress and challenge that provides growth and evolution.

Times of hardship are necessary in order to face ourselves, our own mistakes and weaknesses. Only if we look inwards and recognize our own hardships we can grow and rise above it.
